As a general rule, the parties to any court dispute may settle it by way of amicable agreement. However, in some cases such agreement requires more than the consent of only the parties to the process. For example, if the amicable agreement meets the criteria of a large transaction, or a transaction with interest, corporate approvals may also be required as a condition for approval of such amicable agreement by the court.
